The Shearwater Petrel 2 and its Petrel 2 Titanium version are dive computers specifically designed for rebreather (CCR) control. An essential reference in technical diving, they are used for advanced setpoint management, PPO₂ control, and demanding multi-gas dives.

Our T6082 aluminum protective shell was specifically developed for the Petrel 2 & Petrel 2 Titanium. Its highly wraparound design effectively protects the housing against shocks, impacts, and scratches, while maintaining perfect screen readability and full access to controls.

Optimized protection for rebreather (CCR) use

In rebreather diving, the computer is exposed to demanding environments: wrecks, caves, metal structures, and repeated handling during water entry and gear removal. A robust peripheral protection is essential to preserve the integrity of the equipment.

The wraparound design of this protection significantly improves the mechanical resistance of the Petrel 2, particularly in the most exposed areas.

New anti-accidental activation design

The protection has recently been modified to prevent any unwanted computer startup during handling or transport.

It also facilitates switching off the Petrel 2 by providing more precise access to controls, avoiding the difficulties encountered with certain standard protections.
